JUDGE CHRISTINE T. McMONAGLE Judge McMonagle graduated from Northwestern University in 1971 and Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1974. Between 1974 and 1992, she worked predominantly for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, serving both in the Criminal and Family Law Units. Judge McMonagle was elected to the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, Domestic Relations Division, in 1992 and served that court until 1999. She was elected to the General Division of the same court in 1999 and served a full term there. In her last year at that court, she was appointed to the Mental Health Court, in addition to her regular duties. In 2004, Judge McMonagle was elected to the Eighth District Court of Appeals to the seat vacated by her husband, Judge Timothy E. McMonagle. The judges have two children, both grown.
